Niconico recreates Japanese internet culture in real life!
We are preparing many projects such as karaoke sing-offs based on Anime songs, cosplay tournaments, Niconico Douga user dance lessons, dance stages, video game battles and DJ events that let people experience Japanese Anime and subculture hands-on—that’ll no doubt leave them with a smile on their face!
The concept is simple—we strive to achieve a real-life recreation of everything Niconico Douga has to offer (well, mostly everything!). Our grand-scale user event —Niconico Chokaigi 3— was held in Japan in April, 2014 over a span of 2 days. This event exhibited a slew of real-life recreations of Niconico-themed culture genres: Sang_it, Danced_it, Drew_it, Anime, Games, Nico-tech, Cooking, Entertainment and more! Over the 2 days of the event, 120,000 individuals attended, with a staggering 7,590,000 internet viewers.
A plethora of Niconico-esque content awaits that merges real life with internet culture!
Get ready to experience a ton of Japanese internet culture recreated overseas for the first time ever!
