Foreground Eclipse

Foreground Eclipseとは、Merami・Tetoの２人によるエモ/スクリーモ系同人音楽サークルである。

概要

2008年結成。主に東方Projectアレンジ曲、オリジナル曲を生バンド形式で制作している。

2010年にはCROW'SFEST2010 at 船橋Rootsにて初ライブ敢行と順調に思われていたが、2011年3月に代表を務めていたSuzuoriが一身上の都合により卒業してしまう。しかし、代表をTetoに移行し、サポートギタリスト兼ベーシストにSiymを迎え、春には活動を再開。2012年にはDraw the Emotionalとのスプリットアルバムを頒布予定。

現在はTetoが楽曲制作を主に担当し、年に１回程度のライブ活動も行っている。

近年東方アレンジ界でスクリーモバンドが急増傾向にあるが、その先駆けとなったサークルの一つである。

楽曲の特徴

前述の通り、東方アレンジ集団としては珍しく楽曲の大半がエモ/スクリーモである。Meramiの透き通った歌声と、Tetoの荒いスクリームの対比が最大の特徴。

基本的にバンド形態ではあるが、時には打ち込みを用いてキラキラした世界を作り上げている。中には作曲中の苦労や、視聴者に対する愚痴、曲についての注意や他のサークルへの尊敬などが書き綴られている歌詞のものもあり(『Truths, Ironies, The Secret Lyrics』『Angels, Monsters, The Secret Lyrics』など)、カリスマ性とユニーク性を兼ね備えている。

楽曲の演奏難易度は東方バンドサークルとしてはかなり高め。特にSiymがギター・ベースを担当するようになってからはテクニカルな速弾きフレーズも登場するようになった。ドラムは初期から大変である。
