10人のインディアン

「10人のインディアン」（Ten Little Indians）とは、マザー・グース（Mother Goose）の童謡の一つである。

概要

10人のインディアン（Ten Little Indians）はアメリカ人の
セプティマス・ウィンナーの作詞・作曲による1868年の作品である。

最後の一人がいなくなる歌詞は、

One little Indian boy left all alone;
（1人のインディアンの少年が後に残された、）
He went out and hanged himself and then there were none.
（彼が自分の首を吊り、そして誰もいなくなった。）

この歌詞はアガサ・クリスティが小説『そして誰もいなくなった』において、
アガサ・クリスティが自ら改変を行ったものであるといわれている。
この『そして誰もいなくなった』では、この童謡になぞらえ、
孤島に取り残された年齢も職業も異なる10人の男女が次々と殺害されてゆくストーリーになっている。
